Dental Implant

Crowns and traditional bridges or dentures are not your only options for treating missing teeth. For some people, dental implants can provide a smile that looks and feels natural. The method is to use surgery to implant implants under the gums during a series of appointments to combine with the mandible as a basis for replacing teeth, supporting bridges or dentures. Since dental implants combine the implant with bone cells, it can provide good stability. This practice can make your replacement teeth feel more natural, and some people find this kind of stable implants are more comfortable than traditional dentures. Patients who are suitable for dental implants need to have healthy gums and alveolar bone in good condition to support the implant. A detailed assessment will help you decide whether you are suitable for implant surgery.

Periodontal Disease Treatment

Periodontal disease refers to the occurrence of bacterial infections in the tissues around the teeth. The height of your gum tissue covering your teeth is actually a little different from your appearance. There is a very shallow V-shaped groove where the gums meet the teeth, called the gingival sulcus. Periodontal disease invades the gingival sulcus below the gum line, causing damage to the tissue covering and supporting the teeth. When the tissue is destroyed, a pocket is formed in the gingival sulcus: usually the more serious the periodontal disease, the deeper the pocket.
