About Dr. John Lo 

John Lo, DMD, MS, is a board-certified periodontist providing specialized care at Implant & Periodontal Institute (IPI) of Torrance, located in Torrance, California. He specializes in treating gum disease, receding gums, bone graft, sinus lifts, and placing dental implants.

Dr. Lo received his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. He received extensive training in oral surgery during his one-year residency in #1 trauma center in Brooklyn, New York. After several years of working in private practices, he moved on to pursue his postdoctoral degree in periodontics from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine where he earned certification from the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry.

With his extensive experience and knowledge in periodontal plastic surgery and laser dentistry, Dr. Lo often prefers to recommend minimally invasive procedures, such as laser dentistry, whenever possible for his patients.

Dr. Lo was born in Taiwan and moved to the United States when he was 13. He’s fluent in Mandarin, enabling Dr. Lo to treat patients from a range of backgrounds.

He’s also committed to taking care of his patients, even after their treatment. He follows up with his patients after they’re in his care and ensures all their concerns and questions are answered. Dr. Lo believes strongly in treating his patients the same way he would like to be treated.
